What if you thought about your future without limits? Successful dreamers see things differently than others. They see the future in terms of possibility, have the skill of critical thinking to deconstruct their vision and possess the common sense to explain it to others. The audacity of big dreams begins with open-ended questions.

Big dreams work When you step beyond and imagine a future that no one else has contemplated, many of the necessary objects, tools, and processes to achieve the goal, won’t even exist. What will be needed must be invented, created, and innovated along the way. Big dreams result in advancement of technology, theories and understanding.

Dreams can seem non-specific, hard to measure, unattainable, seemingly irrelevant and unbound with time. They can overwhelm and lead to frustration as they linger beyond the boundaries of rational thought. Success in achieving your dreams comes when you deconstruct them to the elements of achievable smaller goals, where measurement and milestones are clear. In our lives, value is often measured financially as it takes currency to fund the necessities of life and impact we desire. The quantitative measurement of the totality of our actions gives rise to impact. This is called Total Quantum Impact and understanding yours is key to your future.

All great ideas need a catalyst. Dream all you want. Without first lighting the match, no great idea will catch fire. Once lit, all fires continue to grow if given enough fuel. They extend rapidly and as far as they are nurtured. The result of this chain reaction transcends time and space, and the effects reverberate through generations. Thus, impact is interstellar.

Dreams pursued with purpose are achieved and legacy is one of the strongest drivers of purposeful living. Motivated by a deep desire to be of value and impact to the world, my actions are guided by how I want to be remembered by my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I only hope that they will know my name, what I stood for and the difference I made in this world. The effects of our actions are felt across the time we live in today, and they ripple through generations through time and space.

The truth about doers and dreamers, is that dreamers never get off the ground. Dreamers get lost in the romance of the idea or simply abandon it and dream up something else. They act without intention or purpose. “Doers” who succeed, also dream, they build the bridge across, or the craft needed to fly over the chasm between their future vision and reality. Success lies in the doing. Your dreams will go unrealized if you don’t understand how to work the vision back to its elements, set smart goals, execute a plan, and engage others to carry the ideas forward.
